Solange Knowles is getting married this weekend to her beau Alan Ferguson. Truth be told, I was so used to seeing them together that I thought they'd already tied the knot. I'm excited for her and have my own ideas about what fashionista Solange will be wearing when she says "I do."
Suited Bride
If any woman can pull of the suited look, it's Solange Knowles. From the colors to the silhouettes, Solange knows just how to accentuate her big hair in a quirky cool, corporate casual way. I wouldn't be surprised if she celebrated her nuptuals privately with a small party, wearing a sexy white suit.
Below, on the left, is the Kriss jumpsuit from Reiss and on the right, a lace bridal suit by Theia. Both are wide legged to elongate Solange's legs and give her a "train" in pants.
Peplum Bride
Do I really have to explain how gorgeous Solange looks in peplum? I don't this so. Her curves are accentuated in all the right places and she looks awesome. Though the printed peplum doesn't show as much as the yellow, it speaks to her true style.
I think Solange's wedding dress might be similar to this sleek Vera Wang peplum gown but for the sake of an unexpected twist, she may want the fuller skirted Vera Wang with lace in top.
High Slit Bride
I challenge you to Google "Solange Knowles" without finding any leg-sposure. You can't! I don't blame her, she's got the legs to flaunt so work it girl!
I'd love to see this style translated into a bridal gown. Solange Knowles' wedding dress will have to be from the likes of a Berta gown (on the right) or this Casa Blanca beauty (left). She'd blow the crowd away in either one.
Printed Bride
Would you be shocked if Solange's wedding dress was a tribal printed one? I wouldn't. I don't know any other celebrity who wears as bold a wardrobe is she does. The colors and patterns mix and match yet work harmoniously with her shoes, accessories and attitude. Oh, and is that another peplum I see?
Solange Knowles' wedding dress has got to be custom made by designer Stella Jean (left) or Taibo Bacar (right). She'd look incredible and true to herself.
No matter what Solange wears this weekend, I wish her, Alan and her son an incredibly blessed wedding filled with joy and beautiful memories. Congratulations!
